OK, You always see the anti-feminists coming up with some pretty out there “reasons” why feminism is evil, I’m going to address some of these, even a few of the way out there ones.

Feminists hate men:
Where they get this from I will never know, we don’t hate men, we simply want equality between the sexes. If feminists really hated men do you think they would date men? Do you think some feminists would be married or even mothers if they hated men? This is simply unfounded, yes there are a few feminists who dislike men, but the ones who do are a minority, the only reason you hear about them is because they are the ones who make the biggest fuss about it, and, as we all know, there are extremists in every group and, sadly, it’s normally the extremists who get the most attention thus painting a bad picture of an entire group.

Most feminists are lesbian:
This is on par with the myth above, it’s an assumption, not a fact. I have never meet a feminists who is lesbian, I know there are some out there and hey, more power to them, but they are not lesbians because they are feminists, it’s simply a case of them being attracted to women. A feminist is no more likely to be a lesbian than any other woman in this world.

Feminists will resent a man for getting them pregnant:
Not true at all! I am expecting my second child and I don’t resent my husband to be because of it, I love him to no end! I had the option of having an abortion if I wanted to, but I didn’t because I want to keep the child, we both do. There is a bit of resentment for a man who gets a woman pregnant and runs out on her, but even most men would admit that someone running out on a woman when she is carrying his child is a chicken shit thing to do. I know a good many feminists who are proud mothers, some working moms, some aren’t, but none of the other feminists I know resent the child or it’s father in the least.

Feminists want to be favored over men:
I see this BS line all the time, we don’t want to be favored, we want equality. Favoring women over men would be sexist in it’s own sense, it’d be like telling a woman “You can’t do as well as a man on your own so we are making it easier for you” which is still a version of discrimination against women. Do you really think that a woman wants things made easier for her because people think she can’t do as well on her own? If you do then you are highly mistaken! We want equal standards based on equal ability and education, not favored treatment.

Feminists are all Pro-Abortion:
Nope, not all of us are, it‘s about 50/50 really. Many feminists will choose not to have an abortion (myself being one of them) and some are against abortion all together! It’s all down to the individual person when it comes to abortion views. Just because someone is a feminist doesn’t mean they will have an abortion if they become pregnant, though they normally will expect the father to do his fair share of the work when it comes to caring for the child.

Feminists want men to obey them:
Again, wrong! We want respect, not obedience, if we wanted another life to obey us, don’t you think we would buy a dog instead of dating a man? After all, we don’t date guys out of any need, we can find affection from other sources and we don’t even need men for sexual pleasure (they have sex toys for that, sorry to burst your bubbles guys). We date men out of love, not need, and love doesn’t include obedience, it includes trust, respect and understanding.
