It’s bigger than Pro-life or Pro-choice

I am Pro-Choice, this is no secret, but when it all comes down to it, pro-life or pro-choice is insignificant compared to the suffering of already living children who suffer daily due to lack of food and medical supplies.

These children ARE ALIVE, they DO FEEL, they know what pain is and, many of them know that they may not make it to adulthood…..

But how do you think they would feel if they knew that there are people like us who have the means to help them but use that money in the pro-choice/pro-life debate? Shouldn’t these living, breathing, loved children come first? They are here, in our own country, overseas, they are on this earth already and need help getting the things we take for granted every day: Food, Medical care, Clothes, Clean water……these things are not readily available for them and sometimes the very water they drink is what’s killing them!

So, who’s life is more important to you? An eight week old embryo or a 5 year old child who may not make it to age 6 due to lack of basic needs and will feel every hour of suffering up until their last breath?

The ball’s in your court now………..

I agree with your opinion. We focus on issues that we are unsure about and always end up switching our minds about, when we can be focusing on truly important issues that will make a change in this evil world RIGHT NOW. i commend you for your thoughts

Those vehemently opposed to abortion will not answer your last question… as a matter of fact, they continually dance around such questions with retorts such as “the only difference between an eight week old embryo (or any fertilized egg, for that matter) and a five year old child is time.” What the f*** kind of an answer is that? It’s a non-answer. Sometimes I swear it appears as if the anti-abortion folks interest in “life” is relegated to the time between conception and birth. They certainly don’t have any concern or interest in the life of a woman facing an unwanted pregnancy or the life of children who are suffering.

Just as an aside… I really enjoyed reading your thoughts on those virulent anti-abortion whack jobs who use misleading photo’s in order to incite people on the subject of abortion. It is also worthy to note that some photo’s were of stillbirths and spontaneous abortion of very much wanted pregnancies. Shame on them for using other people’s pain and heartbreak to further their agenda.
